Duncan is the Data Systems Manager for the Victorian Cancer Biobank (VCB), a collaborative network of geographically dispersed tissue banks across metropolitan Melbourne. In 2018, Duncan began leading the implementation, management, and improvement of research and biobanking information systems.
Duncan currently manages VCB’s end-to-end data management activities, aligning with international standards and frameworks, and promoting a data-driven culture to support the delivery of innovation. Duncan also routinely prepares datasets for data analytics to maximise organisation value.
Prior to his current role, Duncan coordinated with data custodians to successfully establish data linkage with NSW Health electronic medical records across two Local Health Districts. Duncan comes from an Information Systems background (Health Informatics specialisation) from Western Sydney University.
